Underground Diesel Fitter - 2:2 Roster

Our Client requires the services of Trade Qualified HD Fitters with Underground Mining experience.

Reporting to the workshop manager, you will be completing the servicing, rebuilds and maintenance on a range of equipment, both in the workshop and underground.

You will need to have a good understanding of the different equipment that is used in an underground mine, such as boggers, jumbos, dump trucks, loaders and drills.

In return, you will be offered an ongoing position on a 2:2 roster, with a view to transitioning into a permanent position. The pay rates on offer for this role are up to $70/hr for the right candidates.

•   Must have Australian Recognised Trade Certification as a Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter
•   Current Drivers Licence
•   A First Class attitude towards Workplace Health & Safety
•   Previous experience in  Working Underground & on UG Mining Plant
•   You must be willing to commit to an ongoing 2/1 FIFO roster
•   You must be able to pass a Pre-Employment Medical including a Drug & Alcohol Screening test
•   You must also be able to produce a National Police Clearance

The role will be at an Iron ore mine site in the Pilbara and on a 2/1 roster out of Perth. Candidates will be operating Komatsu 785 trucks within a mining production environment and will need experience on these trucks, CAT 777 or larger.

Road Transport Mechanic

Reporting to the workshop manager, you will be responsible for the servicing, repair and maintenance on a range of road transport equipment and road trains. Your experience will need to include working on trucks and trailers, including hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge.

The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

• Australian recognised trade certificate (LV mechanics will be considered if your experience is current)

These roles are Fixed Term Full Time until December 2019.

These roles are on a 2/1 Roster FIFO Perth only. Residents must reside in Western Australia or be prepared to relocate for the duration of the role.

As a key member of the Production Team, you will be required to operate the Sandvik LH410 (Toro 7) Loader and assist with other Underground work as required. You will be responsible for the movement of all broken material in accordance with forecasted bogging rates to ensure targets outlined in the underground mining schedule are achieved.

Underground Mining Supervisor

Our client is now seeking an Experienced Underground Mining Supervisor on a 7:7 roster in the Northen Goldfields.

**You must hold a WA Shift Supervisor Certification and have at least 3 years experience in a similar role within underground mining**

Duties include;

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and practices and conduct daily safety reviews
  • Coordinate underground mining activities on a daily basis in relation to mine plans by prioritising resources, machinery and people 
  • Solve daily and weekly technical and resource logistical problems 
  • Coordinate mine and development activities according to daily mine plans
  • Manage and coordinate the team’s activities by setting performance objectives 
  • Ensure full statutory and safety compliance of the all load and haul, production and mine development activities

Skills and experience needed?

  • At least 3 years experience in a similar role within underground mining industry 
  • Extensive practical knowledge and experience in mining operations. 
  • Proven and effective people management skills of large teams 
  • Clear verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to coordinate labour, equipment and materials 
  • Effective problem solving skills 
  • Able to act as a strong and positive example to the work force 
  • Mature and professional approach to all matters 
  • Current drivers license 
  • WA Shift Supervisor Certification Required

If you have proven Excavator operating experience in a production mining environment we want to hear from you!

Our blue chip client is seeking experienced Excavator Operators for their operations at a modern, industry leading Iron Ore site in the Pilbara.

These roles are 14/10,14/11 FIFO Perth only to site, however interstate candidates can apply.

Experience on one or more of the following Excavators (or equivalent size) is required;

- Hitachi EX3600 - 8000
- Komatsu PC3000 - PC8000
- Cat 6040, 6060
- Leibherr 994, 996, 9400, 9800

Competative pay rates, Outstanding camp and facilities and ongoing work for successful candidates, along with the potential for full time employment.

Candidates are expected to exhibit a safety first attitude and work well as a team.

Superannuation paid on all hours worked.

A valid driver's license and tickets/and or VOC's are required.

These roles are Permanent roles on a 12 month fixed contract, on a 2/1 roster.

Reporting to the maintenance manager, your role will include working on equipment and plant including a variety of mining infrastructure, network systems, pumps, crushers, conveyors and mobile equipment as required. You will be required to perform maintenance and installation of this equipment as required, including scheduled maintenance and breakdown repairs.

To be a successful for the role you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a WA "A" Class Qualified Licenced Electrical Fitter/ Mechanic 
  • Must have HV switching ticket along with instrumentation qualifications
  • Have previous experience working within an underground Environment
