Underground Diesel Fitter

Our Client requires the services of Trade Qualified HD Fitters with Underground Mining experience.

Reporting to the workshop manager, you will be completing the servicing, rebuilds and maintenance on a range of equipment, both in the workshop and underground.

You will need to have a good understanding of the different equipment that is used in an underground mine, such as boggers, jumbos, dump trucks, loaders and drills.

In return, you will be offered an ongoing position on a 2:1 roster, with a view to transitioning into a permanent position. The pay rates on offer for this role are up to $70/hr for the right candidates.

• Must have Australian Recognised Trade Certification as a Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter
• Current Drivers Licence

The Position will be available for an immediate start and the initial contract will be for a 12 month term & could become an ongoing fulltime role for the right candidate (Subject to performance)

Working Monday to Friday this role will see you conducting the following duties:

  • General Pick Packing
  • Forklift Operating 
  • Incoming and outgoing goods
  • General Labouring
  • Stores Maintenance

To be successful for the role must have the following skills and experience:

  • Must have some previous experience working within a stores role, however depending on the level of that experience the client may be willing to provide training for the right person in order to bring their skill set up to the desired level.
  • Preference will be given to applicants that have previous Engine Parts Handling experience
  • Must be proficient in the use of Windows Based PC programmes
  • Must have a Current C class Licence & your own Reliable Transport to commute to & from Scoresby on a daily basis
  • Preference will be given to applicants who possess a Current Forklift Ticket (LF), however
  • If you have stores experience but no Forklift Licence please see the note below*
  • Mechanical aptitude will be highly regarded

Underground Bogger Operator

On behalf of our client, a global resource leader, we are seeking experienced Bogger Operators to commence immediately at their site in the Pilbara region.

These roles are Fixed Term Full Time until December 2019.

These roles are on a 2/1 Roster FIFO Perth only. Residents must reside in Western Australia or be prepared to relocate for the duration of the role.

As a key member of the Production Team, you will be required to operate the Sandvik LH410 (Toro 7) Loader and assist with other Underground work as required. You will be responsible for the movement of all broken material in accordance with forecasted bogging rates to ensure targets outlined in the underground mining schedule are achieved.

To be initially considered for this role, applicants are required to provide the following;

  • An up to date Resume, with at least two contactable referees, detailing experience operating Sandvik LH410 and 514 Loaders or similar & Tele-Remote Operators. (2+ Years’ Experience Essential)
  • A current Western Australian ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence. (Essential)
  • Working at Heights Ticket completed within the last 2 years (Essential)
  • Current tickets of competency for underground machinery and equipment; Bogger, Integrated Tool Carrier, and Truck (Desirable)
  • National Police Clearance (valid within the last 6 months)
