We have an excellent opportunity for experienced order pickers/store people to join the team for a leading retailer based in the Welshpool area .

Based in a state of the art warehouse in Welshpool you will be working within the friendly team handling the picking of incoming bulk orders and assisting with the dispatch.

You will be working a  4 day week, Monday to Thursday 6am - 4pm but roster could vary depending on work load. You must be fit and healthy and capable of passing a medical and drug test.

These positions are ongoing & between the shutdowns, the work will continue at our client’s local workshop based near the International Airport.

This role is for two days per week part time on a casual basis.

A typical workday will involve the following:

• Inspection of assembled equipment, to ensure proper installation.
• Inspection of all operating parts to ensure proper operation within expected tolerances.
• Tune and troubleshoot equipment for proper operation.
• Interact with internal and external project managers during field projects.
• Clearly and professionally interact with customer, regarding status of commissioning, on a daily basis.
• Able to determine tools and equipment required to perform scope of job.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment, and assist in establishing preventative maintenance schedules with customer.
• Assemble, align, and install equipment as necessary.

To qualify for this for role you must have had previous experience working on drill bits undertaking strip down and rebuild work.

What the role entails
 
This role is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual. Working on a fly in fly out roster with 8 days on and 6 off reporting into the Warehouse Supervisor , you will be:

  • Participating in the daily warehousing and distribution functions for Rio Tinto Iron Ore (RTIO) operations
  • Undertaking timely delivery of correct parts to maintainers in order to undertake scheduled work
  • Providing ongoing technical support to production activities and running Z7270 report daily
  • Engaging with maintenance planners and schedulers whilst participating in planning and scheduling meetings
  • Assisting the maintenance team in developing Bills of Material (BOMs), Application Task Lists and general application of efficient maintenance planning methodologies
  • Developing and implementing strategies with relevant stakeholders, ensuring schedules and designs are implemented
  • Analysing parts requirements for planned work whilst ensuring their timely delivery through coordination with freight providers, RTIO Purchasing team and vendors
  • Providing front-line procurement and logistics support to the maintenance planning
  • Performing stock takes when required, repairs process and driving the coach

 

What you will need for this role
 
To succeed in this challenging role, you will have:

  • An “HR” (Heavy Rigid) driver’s licence
  • A Forklift ticket
  • Working knowledge on SAP
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role within the resources industry


Previous experience as a Supply Co-ordinator in a mining environment will be advantageous.

Trade Assistant (DIDO)

Our client a large company involved in the Water construction industry is seeking a Trade Assistant (TA) for a project that will last 9-10 months working on water treatment plants across WA.

It will involve plenty of travel going away for 7 days to 2-3 weeks at a time traveling across Western Australia installing portal frames, hand rails, guard rails onto water tanks and staircases.

The role would involve assisting the trades persons fixing handrail and ladder climbing systems to existing water tanks, handrail and staircases. You would be installing portal frames, bolting on guard rails, bolting to floor and walls, testing bolts and general construction work.

Typical working day is 10 hours working 7 days straight.

Each trip might involve going to 5-7 sites at a time traveling and staying in different locations.

Accommodation and food will be provided.

Only Candidates that come from construction environment will be considered and you must be familiar with the use of hand tools, working at heights and operating elevated work platforms.

The project will last 9-10 months traveling around Western Australian to different sites, will start in Perth and your team will drive to each location in company provided vehicles.

To qualify you must have:

• Working at heights
• EWP
• MR licence or greater
• First Aid ticket(Preferable)
• Construction experience
• Live in Perth
• Happy to go away for extended periods
• Forklift Ticket
• Previous TA experience
